Derek, you’re correct. The part of the frame that grip consists of (underneath the rubber grip) is polymer, not metal. I’ll correct the article. Thanks!

Got one of the first ones at the Academy on Bunker Hill earlier this year for $450. Great gun, I have tried both a 442 (extended loan) and a Taurus 905 (shoots 9mm in moon clips) and the Ruger had by far the nicest trigger, and was the easiest to shoot. The Taurus was well nigh uncontrollable in comparison.

Very informative! Coming from a guy who's not as well versed in guns as I'd like to be, this was very helpful. In fact, just because you said so, I'd probably go with an LCR if I needed a pocket carry gun. I, however, like the feeling of something weighty in your hand, my own personal boomstick. That's why I prefer the higher calibers and larger size like the 1911, but i don't need that sort of customizability.
